We are happy to announce that Taranis has just released “Field timeline” to all Taranis employees for Beta testing on October 31, 2022!

Overview 

Field Timeline: The functionality aims to assist the Ag Advisor (and sales) to better understand and tell the story of the field’s Cycle in the easiest and quickest manner.

By using the Field Timeline, the advisor can increase communication and engagement with the grower by explaining what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and when things happened. The functionality is extremely useful during the season as well as post-season in preparation for the next one.

Field Timeline Scope

• Missions: See future (and past) missions dates and information

• Insights: See all insights’ summary data and ability to navigate to the full insight details 

• NDVI and Weather: See the field NDVI, temperature, and precipitation values during the season to understand the trendlines

• View Options: 

• See an overview of the full cycle on one screen (default view)

• See the day-by-day view

Selected Functionality

• Hide/show specific data sets from the timeline 

• Export to PDF

• Select field cycles (current, previous ones)

• Navigate to a particular insight to get the full insight details

Changes From the Current User Experience

• The “Insights” page was enhanced with a view option in its header allowing to switch between the two types of views:

• Map: the existing view, where the user can see the insights in chronological order and can see the field on the top of the Map

• Timeline: The new field timeline feature 

• When users navigate to the “Insights” page from the Dashboard: 

• For Fields with planting dates, the user will be redirected to the Field Timeline view

• For Fields without planting dates, the user will be redirected to the Map Insights and when switching to Field Timeline view,  the user will see a “No data” illustration 

• When users navigate to the “Insights” page from the left navigation bar:

• The default view will be the Map View

Release plan

• Release for Taranis Users: to Taranis employees and Customers that will ask to join the pilot version  (Oct 31, 2022)

• General Availability: Feature will be available to all users (Nov 22, 2022)

• Change in the planting data UI

• Solve the need to see the data of the insights on top of the map:
