Defoliation in Soybeans
Taranis SmartScout™ insights can help you
detect defoliation and overall insect threshold for crop health risk to drive
insecticide decisions and long term plans.
You can see whole farm view on the multi view tool to generate which fields have the highest pressures out of your operation to prioritize where you need to go first.
First select Insect insight, sort by soybeans on the right hand side, then set your defoliation threshold.
From here in whole farm view, you can zoom in and click on specific fields you would like to take a deeper dive into. Or you can select the field from the fields list on the right hand side.
You can also see this in the Dashboard tab to see which farms need to be prioritized.
Once you drill down into the field you would like, you will be able to click on each bubble and view the images of defoliation.
In the defoliation insight:
- There are 12 out of 12 images that detected an insect threat and an overall 1.3% defoliation average in the selected field.
- Histogram map of defoliation distribution relative to acres; ability to toggle between heat map and bubble map for analysis preference
