Stand Count Insight - Soybeans

Taranis SmartScout™ insights can help you detect uneven emergence and overall beginning crop health risk to drive replant decisions and long term fertility plans.

From the insights multiview tab, you can have full farm view of your stand count insights to prioritize which fields need to be scouted first.
  1. In your organization, before you select a specific field, you will be able to see all your farms on the right and the available insights on the left.
  2. On the left, select emergence count and that will highlight the fields on the right with stand count insights and will also color code the map according to population distribution
  3. From here, you can use the edit tool to toggle the population to the desired target amount

[Ex. you want to find all the fields that didn’t meet 145,000 plants. Use the colored toggles to adjust the population search and watch the fields on the map (and highlighted on the right) adjust color. Select a desired replant field and create a zone map from there.]

From here, you can edit thresholds that better fit your criteria, zoom in, and do a deeper dive into fields that you have prioritized for replant and fertility management.

HOW TO ANALYZE STAND COUNT ABOVE
  1. Average population [machine calculated] through AI Tagging
  2. Histogram map of population distribution relative to acres; ability to toggle between heat map and bubble map for analysis preference
  3. Select a bubble to begin in depth population analysis and replant decision making

From here, determine planter error, seed error, or external conditions in order to decide upon replant or fertilizer zones for this field. A zone can be generated straight from this insight heat map.

PRO TIP - place a higher priority on fields with a higher percentage below the target population planted to quickly isolate correctable problems in a timely manner. Here’s how:
