With your weed insights in hand, here's how to create a targeted herbicide prescription!
- Log in to the Taranis Web App.
- After logging in, the Recent Insights landing page appears.
- To begin creating an herbicide prescription, scroll down and select the color-coded threat box under weeds for the relevant field.
- A map view displays weed pressure zones for the field. Weed species are displayed in the information panel under Detected Weeds Distribution.
- When creating a zone map, select which weeds to target based on the insights provided.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the information panel and select Create Zones from the dropdown.
- Zones can be created for all weeds, or for specific species of weeds.
- Taranis automatically generates zones based on weed pressure intensity. If the created zones are acceptable, select Add Prescription.
Want more control? Use the map to edit zones, divide them further, or draw custom shapes directly.
- Enter the name of the prescription, the herbicide product name(s), and the application unit (ie: gal/acre, L/acre).
- For single-product use, input the application rate per zone.
- Multiple products can be entered by selecting Apply multiple or different products.
- Assign product and rate per zone based on weed severity.
- When finished, select Use this Rx for export and then Save your prescription.
- The file can be downloaded as a shapefile for in-cab use and will also be stored within the field for future reference or editing.
Early weed intel is only valuable if you act on it. With species-level detection and precision mapping, Taranis turns insights into action helping you make confident, timely decisions that protect yield and reduce unnecessary passes.
