March 2023 - Taranis Release News

Field Timeline Enhancements

The Field Timeline continues to be enhanced, allowing users to get a quicker view of the field as it evolves throughout the season. The new enhancements include:
  • Sidebar information:

    • For fields without available AcreForward insights, the default tab on the left disbar will be the "Planting" tab

    • For fields with available smart scout insights, the default tab on the left disbar will be the "Legend" tab

  • Legend: when hovering on Field health, NDVI, Precipitation, and Temperature in the Legend tab their chart will be highlighted

  • PDF Export: the PDF export now contains the legend

Dashboard Enhancements

For the upcoming season in the US, the dashboard now includes more information, allowing users to prioritize and quickly uncover fields requiring the most attention as well as easily validating pre-season decisions with Taranis insights. Latest enhancements include:
  • Soybean defoliation is now displayed in the dashboard, allowing users to prioritize fields by soybean defoliation severity and view the insights side-by-side with all other insights.
  • Dashboard now supports multiple stand count insights for a single field - the latest stand count insight will be displayed when the field's row is collapsed

  • Add horizontal scroll to the dashboard to support more data/columns we will add to the dashboard

Viewed Image Indication

Improving the Taranis application user experience continues to be a top priority and now users are able to track and see which Insight images were previously viewed:
  • Once the user clicks on a sample image (on the map or from the “Sample images“ section) the sample images dot on the map becomes green
  • The dot stays green as long as the user is on the page - once the user leaves the page or refreshes the page the color will reset back to the default

  • The last viewed image stays green with white outlines

Additional Enhancements and Bug Fixes

  • My Fields tooltips: new tooltips are now available in the "My Fields" section, presenting the user with the full field name

  • Direct login navigation: users that are associated with a single organization are now accessing their dashboard directly, reducing the need to select their organization. The direct navigation will save time for many users who advise growers that belong to a single organization

  • Multi-Insight “sticky” filters: all filters applied in the insight multiview will be saved throughout the entire user session

  • Fields export: the field export functionality now support Excel (XSLX) files in addition to the already supported CSV format

  • Logged-in indication: the “People” screen now presents an indication on users login status, allowing managers and admins to review whether invited users have acted on invites sent and have registered and accessed the Taranis web application

  • Mobile registration and login: sign-in and sign-up are now also supported in mobile devices. After a successful sign-in or sign-up, and when applicable, the user will be redirected to download and access the CONNECT mobile app

  • Defoliation and Field Health insights zones and shapefiles export: zones creation for deflation and field health are available via single insight and zones section. The optimized deflation zones creation will be based on the insights thresholds whereas the optimized Field health zones creation will be based on the Taranis-based system optimization

  • Missing planting information alert: the alert now shows up only when missing one of fields:  Growing Year, Crop, Planting Date, or Planting Population. The alert will not be shown incase Row Spacing is missing

  • Import shapefiles: fields are now auto-populated instead of manually picking from the dropdown

  • Growing cycles: a new sort functionality has been added to the table. The table now also includes a field size (area) column

  • Add/Edit planting info in CONNECT: this allows users to add the crop, planting date and row spacing via the app. This feature is also available offline and updates the info when the user is back to connectivity

Please make sure to update the app on your mobile device to have it enabled.

  • Bulk PDF reports download: in Multiview, in the Insights tab, you can export multiple pdf files for specific insight type, for custom range time and filtered field list in the org.

    • When you click on export you will be notified that an Email will be sent to you when the process is completed.

    • You have in the Email a link to 'Export Files' page in the web app. You can mark the pdf files and download them to your PC.

    • You will get a zip folder, containing all the required pdf files.
