Overview
Qcomment is a feature in the Taranis platform that allows customers to provide feedback directly on imagery and insights generated from a mission. Users can flag observations or provide corrections based on what they are seeing in the field, and each comment is tied to the specific image where the observation occurs. This allows the Taranis team to better understand potential issues and learn from real field conditions. Qcomment creates a direct feedback loop between customers and the Taranis Agronomy and AI teams, helping improve the accuracy and quality of insights over time.
When to Use Qcomment
Qcomment should be used when something in the imagery or insight does not match what you are seeing in the field. This feedback helps the Taranis team review the image and determine whether an adjustment or improvement may be needed. You do not need to be an agronomist to leave helpful feedback. If something looks incorrect or unclear, your observation can still be valuable. Examples of helpful feedback include:
- An issue identified incorrectly, such as a stand count tag, disease, weed, pest, or nutrient deficiency
- An observation from the field that differs from what appears in the imagery
- Additional context from scouting, tissue samples, or agronomist review
What to Expect from Qcomment
Submitting a Qcomment does not trigger a rerun of the insight for that field. If you believe an insight needs to be rerun, please contact your Taranis Customer Success representative.
How to Submit a Qcomment
When viewing insights in the Taranis Web App, field-level images contain a yellow box that highlights the threat identified in the image.
- Select the yellow box that identifies the threat, then click “Feedback? Let us know.”
- A menu will open where you can select a pre-populated reason for your Qcomment.
- If the options do not match your feedback, select Other and enter your own comment.
- Click Submit to send your feedback.
- Your comment will be tied to that specific image and reviewed by the Taranis Agronomy and AI teams.
Why Your Feedback Matters
Customer feedback plays an important role in improving the Taranis platform. Observations submitted through Qcomment help the Taranis Agronomy and AI teams better understand real field conditions and continue improving the accuracy and quality of insights over time.
