Turning Recent Insights into Mission Recommendations in the Taranis Web App

Turning Recent Insights into Mission Recommendations in the Taranis Web App

With each drone mission, the Taranis Web App delivers the same high-resolution, leaf-level imagery you trust to reveal what’s happening in your fields—from stand variability to weed pressure. New in 2025, that imagery is now paired with a Mission Recommendation: a clear summary of key findings, their potential impact, and suggested next steps—making it easier than ever to communicate timely, targeted recommendations to your growers.

Follow these steps to turn insights into clear, grower-ready recommendations!
  1. Log in to your Taranis account.

  1. After logging in, you'll land on the Recent Insights page where all newly processed flights appear.
  2. Use the filters at the top to narrow down what you see.

  1. Select a specific grower, crop, threat, or mission to focus on relevant insights.

  1. Fields are listed in the lower half of the Recent Insights page with filters applied.
  2. Color coded threat boxes help quickly assess field health.
  3. Selecting a Field icon opens the Timeline View

  1. Here, you can quickly switch to a Map View to explore the insight in more detail.

  1. From the Recent Insights page, you can also select a color coded threat box that takes you to the Map View

  1. In Map View, you’ll see a detailed breakdown of the mission—starting with emergence and weed pressure, followed by any other detected threats—along with their exact locations within the field.

  1. New in 2025: View the Mission Recommendation to see a clear summary of key findings, their potential impact, and suggested next steps.
  2. Select Recommendations in the upper right to access Mission Recommendations.

  1. Click on any Recommendation to open the full summary.

  1. If no changes are needed, you can share it directly with a grower by clicking Share in the bottom right or by selecting the three dots in the upper right and choosing Share from the menu.

  1. To make changes, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the Recommendation and select Edit to customize the content before sharing.
  2. While editing, you can also add attachments—such as images or PDFs—to provide additional context or supporting materials.
  3. To save your changes, click Save & Share in the bottom right. This finalizes your edits and allows you to send the updated Recommendation to your grower.

  1. When sharing a Recommendation with your grower, you can send it via text or email to one or multiple recipients.

  1. Add a custom message to personalize your communication. Each recipient will receive the full Recommendation, including field-specific insights and a direct link to view the mission in the Taranis Web App.
  2. Select Share in the bottom right.

  1. After sharing, a confirmation bubble will appear at the top of your screen indicating the Recommendation was successfully sent.

Sending a Mission Recommendation is a fast, efficient way to keep your growers informed and aligned. It simplifies your communication, saves valuable time, and ensures every field gets the attention it needs—without digging through layers of data. It’s all about turning images into insights, and insights into action.
