Onboarding Checklist for Growers

For a smooth setup and optimal use of Taranis insights.

Pre-Season Readiness Goals:
  1. Verify all necessary fields and data are in the system before planting.
  2. Ensure access to the Web and Mobile apps before the first flights begin.
  3. Be prepared to receive and act on insights as the season progresses.

Account Setup
  1. Accept the email invitation from your agronomist or retailer.
  2. Create and log into your Taranis account.
  3. Verify your account details and update your password if needed.
  4. Download the Taranis Mobile App for field access on the go.
Field Setup
  1. Confirm your fields are correctly mapped in the system.
  2. If fields need to be added, provide boundaries to your agronomist.
  3. Verify which fields need to be added to your Plan with your agronomist.
Planting Information
  1. Establish with your agronomist how planting data will be collected in Taranis.
    1. MyJohnDeere Integration
      1. Share your MyJohnDeere Account with your agronomist.
    2. Manual Entry
      1. Ensure planting date, population, row spacing, and hybrid/variety are recorded.
  2. Work with your agronomist to confirm planting information is accurately recorded.
Communication and Support
  1. Know who to contact for support (agronomist, retailer, or Taranis Customer Success team).
  2. Establish the best way to communicate (email, text, app).
  3. Set a schedule for reviewing insights and making decisions.
