Tracking Missing Planting Dates
Keeping your planting data up to date is key to unlocking the full value of Taranis insights. Missing planting dates can delay missions or limit your ability to analyze stand counts, weed pressure, and more. Fortunately, it's easy to spot and fix missing data right from the Taranis Web App with just a few clicks.
- Log in to your Taranis Account.
- From the Recent Insights landing page, click on the Home tab in the navigation bar.
Home Screen Overview
- The Home screen displays critical information including:
- Latest Insights from completed Missions.
- Recent Notes.
- Acres remaining in your plan.
- A dedicated Fields Missing Planting Information card.
Missing Planting Information Card- This card provides a quick snapshot of your planting data.
- A Ratio of fields appear with missing planting information vs. the total number of fields enrolled in your plan.
- A Status Bar shows progress of completed vs. missing planting records.
- A List View of growers and fields that need planting information
Update a Single Field's Planting Information
- Select a field from the list.
- A map view of the field will appear.
- Under Growing Cycles, enter the correct crop year.
- Use the drop down menus to enter crop type, hybrid/variety, planting date, and row spacing.
- Select Save and the information card on the Home screen updates.

Bulk Update of Planting Information- If multiple fields share the same planting details, select View More on on the Missing Planting Information Card.
- Select Bulk Update.
